I LOVE books. And to read. It is my personal addiction. Once I pick up a book and read the first couple of pages, I can't stop until I'm done. I also read very fast. I read a 350 page book in under 5 hours. So I go through books rapidly. To keep my book craving satisfied, I go to Edward McKays. It's the BEST place EVER. Today I got 8 books for 6 dollars. That was pretty pricey for me too. Michael Crichton is one of my favorite authors and his books are 10 cents. Not bad, huh? So next time you guys get a book craving, go to a used bookstore. They're the best. Oh, and I highly recommend Jurassic Park. It 's my favorite book.

Where is Edward McKays?
ReplyDeleteWhy don't we see you more at book club? Our next book is my choice The Diving Bell and the Butterfly. I hope it is good!
ReplyDeleteSo Edward McKays is on Battleground, in the area between the Carousel movie theater and the Lawndale Elizabeth's Pizza. And I haven't made it to the book club meetings because a)they're on weeknights so its REALLY difficult to get there and b)I'm not into "feminine" books if that makes any sense- I'm much more of a thriller/science fiction/historical fiction person and c)I'm a really fast reader so if I read it at the beginning of the month by the time the meetings come around I've already read another dozen books, and if I wait (like I have been doing) until closer to the end of the month I forget or I can't make it to the meeting. Hopefully when I'm done with school I can make it.
ReplyDeleteI was wondering the same thing about you and book club. I don't think anyone would classify our most recent book as a "chick book". And that's one of the great things about a club is that you get to read things you wouldn't normally pick up. I guess we need you to host one month so we can read a book that you'd like.
ReplyDeleteI'm also a HUGE fan of Edward McKay. Right now it's mainly for the piano books as I get my collection of sheet music started.
