block leave 2012 part two: the petrified forest

things to note:
-we stayed the night in Holbrook AZ at an awesome KOA. Our first time camping in about 2 years.
-pictures do not do this place justice.
-Nick really likes his belly button.
-the picture of Nick and I and the one of Yula from behind were taken by Max.
-this day was our 8 year wedding anniversary!!
-after seeing us take an arms length picture of ourselves (in which I am out of focus) a kind stranger offered to take one for us.
-it. was. so. hot.
-we LOVE the cargo hauler on the back of our car. (since we now lost the trunk space to the dog)
-Rob loves cars.
-old route 66 cuts through the park so there was a little monument to it. I thought the entire road still existed, but only some parts do. The rest have been swallowed back up by it's surroundings. All that is left of this section are the out of use utility poles.
