How to Talk to Little Girls

As the mom of two boys (and probably will only ever be a mom to boys) this isn't something that I deal with very often. But it really made me think about my interactions with girls, and wonder what kind of an influence I've had on the (few) little ladies I've encountered and talked to. Granted, I don't think we should stop telling girls how adorable they are, but I will be conscious about the emphasis I put on various subjects and make sure appearance isn't center stage.



Also, I never ever dreamed being an adult was so hard when I was a kid.
